IAHMR Leadership
Cliff Weaver – President -
Cliff has been involved with Public Safety for 29 years. He has been a Nationally Certified Emergency Paramedic for 24 years. He is currently a certified Indiana Fire Instructor and has been involved in teaching several Hazardous Materials Technician courses in southern Indiana. Cliff is an Instructor for the National Fire Academy Emergency Response to Terrorism Program and has instructed several classes for Indiana Firefighters and Law Enforcement Officers. Cliff has served several years as the Chairman, and Vice Chairman of the Vanderburgh County Local Emergency Planning Committee until the spring of 2001. He is on the Board of Directors for the Southwest Indiana Disaster Resistant Community Corporation, he is also the current Vice President of the Indiana Alliance of Hazardous Materials Responders. He also volunteers time as a Search Manager for the Ohio Valley Search and Rescue team which is a team of professional volunteers that search for lost or missing people with in 100 miles of Evansville. He is also a member of INTF-1. Cliff now assist the Indiana Public Safety Training Institute as an evaluator for the final testing for Hazardous Materials Technicians for Fire Department Hazmat Teams across the State of Indiana. He also is the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) coordinator for the City of Evansville CERT Program were he helped start the FEMA program in the spring of 2001 and have completed 7 of 62 neighborhood association CERT teams. Cliff is the Battalion Chief for the Evansville Fire Department responsible for the Evansville Fire Department Support Division which includes Technical Rescue Units, Emergency Medical Services, Hazardous Materials Team, Tier Two reports, and Evansville Fire Disaster Planning. Dave is the General Manager and one of the founding partners of Safe Transportation Training Specialists; a Carmel, IN based company that specializes in cargo tank emergency response training. Dave oversees the day to day operations of STTS, curriculum development, instruction and product development. Formerly, Dave served with Chemical Leaman Tank Lines as the General Manager of Training from 1993 to 1999. During his tenure at Chemical Leaman Dave was responsible for training the company's 1600-man driver work force, 80-man emergency response team and also served as the Indiana State Representative for TRANSCAER from 1994 to 1996. He has served as Chairman & Vice Chairman of the Hamilton County, IN
LEPC, is currently a member of the Hamilton County, IN Emergency Response Team,
Indiana Emergency Response Commission's Training Committee and serves as
Treasurer of the Indiana Alliance of Hazardous Materials Responders (IAHMR).
